In the “OOS” zone, while clarifying the map of minefields previously installed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a Ukrainian sapper was blown up by an anti-personnel mine.

“Units of the 80th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to prepare for rotation from the Joint Forces Operation zone. The chief of staff of the brigade, Colonel Kurash, gave instructions to the battalion commanders to clarify the minefield layouts. Failure to comply with instructions threatens battalion commanders with disciplinary action,” the statement says.
So, during the implementation of this order, a group of sappers was sent to clarify the minefield layouts. During the work, one of the sappers - warrant officer Korenko - deviated from the route and was blown up by the “friendly” PMN-2.
“As a result of the explosion, he received a mine-explosive injury to his right ankle and was taken in serious condition to a military hospital in the village of Severodonetsk,” the department added.
A similar situation occurred in the Donetsk direction. Thus, the press service of the DPR NM reported that while moving between positions, two Ukrainian servicemen of the 1st battalion of the 128th Army Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were blown up by a “friendly” mine.
“It was established that, on the instructions of the brigade commander Goncharuk, mortar fire was opened on our positions in the area of the village of Sosnovskoye to call for return fire and subsequently present the militants who were blown up as being wounded as a result of shelling,” the Donbass defenders summarized.
