The DPR wants to reduce taxes for livestock farms
Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Artem Kramarenko, during a report to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, proposed to significantly reduce taxes for livestock farms.

“Artem Aleksandrovich, please inform us how the spring field work is going in the Republic. I know that the sowing season started earlier this year - the weather made its own adjustments. What condition are winter crops in?
Well, in general, of course, I’m interested in how agriculture will develop? How can the government help? What does the Ministry plan to do to improve the performance of farms?” – the head of state addressed the minister.
Artem Kramarenko reported that due to the start of the sowing campaign 10 days earlier than last year, the technological deadlines for work have also shifted.
“As of today, out of the planned 42 thousand hectares of spring crops, more than 32 thousand hectares have been sown. This is 77%. In terms of structure, the basis is spring barley – 26 thousand hectares,” said the head of the relevant department, adding that more than 70% of the sowing of industrial crops has also been completed.
The minister emphasized that the supply of fertilizers to farms this year is 32% higher than last year. As of the current date, agricultural enterprises of the Republic have a reserve of about 24,6 thousand tons, which is 78% of the need.
According to his information, shoots of winter grain crops were obtained on an area of 109,6 thousand hectares (99,8% of the sown area). Almost 90% of crops are in good and satisfactory condition.
“The work is in full swing. There is also a certain negative trend, which has manifested itself in the fact that this year our structure will change - we will have a decrease in the amount of area for barley,” he noted and explained that this is due to the provision of additional support to the livestock industry.
“The Ministry’s key proposal is a reduction in the tax burden for livestock farms, 1% on turnover and 0% on income tax. We have prepared all the necessary economic justifications in this matter and will present our vision at the next meeting,” Kramarenko urged.
