Chisinau, June 27 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – Today, on the day of signing the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, Russia banned flights from Chisinau to Moscow.

According to Air Moldova information posted on its website, flights 9U173 and 9U174 to Moscow and in the opposite direction have been canceled because Russia has revoked the relevant permits.
A few hours before the flight scheduled for 07:00, the aviation authorities of the Russian Federation announced that they would not allow the flight to proceed, without providing further explanation.
Air Moldova was forced to make changes to the flight schedule and promised passengers to return the full cost of unused tickets.
