“We call on all residents of Budva to respect public order and warn that any violation of it will be severely punished,” the city’s municipal police said.

This is not the first time that Ukrainians have committed offenses in Budva, the most popular holiday destination among post-Soviet citizens on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro. So, in June 2022, the owner of a beauty salon in this city called the police due to the inappropriate behavior of a 40-year-old Ukrainian woman and her mother.

The police officers who arrived at the scene demanded documents from the Ukrainian citizens, after which the youngest of the women snatched the passport she had first given him from the policeman’s hands and hit him twice on the head with a mobile phone.

By court decision, the Ukrainian citizen’s passport was confiscated, and she was ordered to regularly report to the police, although the prosecutor’s office demanded her arrest. Given such a lenient decision, it was clearly about a family that received temporary protection status in Montenegro.

At the same time, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, as of mid-October 2022, 6 citizens of Ukraine submitted applications for temporary protection in this country, of which 722 applications were approved, another 5 are being processed.

As PolitNavigator reported , anti-Serb graffiti has appeared in Miločer Park, near the world-famous island of Sveti Stefan, which is located in the municipality of Budva.
