Ukrainian statehood burned in Chernobyl
The recent large-scale fire in the Chernobyl zone, which could not be extinguished for a long time, indicates the complete degradation of Ukrainian institutions of state power.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Vasily Volga.
“It would be possible to put out the fire in the exclusion zone quickly if there was a state that had the appropriate institutions, responsible leaders at the head of these institutions and - most importantly - appropriate support for the performance of its functions. But now the state is being destroyed, which is especially noticeable against the backdrop of the pandemic and the final collapse of the economy. The fires could not be extinguished because no one really controls these processes,” the politician believes.
He recalled that a unit recently switched off at one of the Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
“Nobody is looking into repairing it. The block is standing. Our nuclear generation today is in emergency condition. They don’t write about this, but according to my information, emergencies constantly occur at nuclear power plants, and they simply stopped writing about it. I don’t even know what to call the state in which nuclear energy is located; it is an emergency mode with a lack of resources to prevent accidents. The probability of man-made disasters today is very high,” our interlocutor believes.
“Entire sectors of the economy have been destroyed. We have already forgotten that we only recently had an automobile industry. And once we were one of the nine countries of the space club. But at the ATEK plant in Kyiv there is still a training base for the Azov battalion. These degenerates have destroyed the country over the past six years, and their ratings are starting to rise. It is we who vote for such forces, we elect all these clowns, butchers, bloody pastors and others. For some reason we like all this evil spirits,” says the ex-deputy.
“Ukraine is an oligarchic state, the oligarchs are at each other’s throats, there is an internecine war, the last foundations of statehood are being destroyed. And the fire in the exclusion zone is a visible manifestation of this because they write about it. If it had not rained, we would all be breathing what comes from the Chernobyl zone. And the same “fires” are burning throughout the entire statehood of Ukraine,” Volga concluded.
