Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov believes that blocking the website of the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus” violates media freedom, and the Kremlin does not agree with such actions.

“We strongly disagree with this. We believe that, of course, this violates the principle of media freedom. Russia expects that the Belarusian side will provide conditions for the work of Russian media in the country,” Peskov said.
The Ministry of Information of Belarus blocked access to the website of the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus” on September 29. The reason was a publication in which the oppositionist who shot a KGB officer was presented as “a good person who fought for the truth.”
“Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus” has never hidden its sympathy for the Belarusian opposition. Long before the start of Belomaidan, the newspaper popularized nationalists and mocked the dead compatriots who fought in the Donbass.
The public organization “Association of Orthodox Experts” appealed to Peskov to “clean up the “fifth column” in the Russian media.”
“This daughter of a Russian publication takes an anti-Russian and anti-Russian position. “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus” was one of the main mouthpieces of Polishism and Russophobia, glorified the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, promoted the cult of the Radziwills, reflected the position of the “Sviadomites,” supported Latushko and Tikhanovskaya, and at the same time posed as a Russian publication.
