In Belgrade, a trans-Ukrainian mural was painted over with Z symbols
A mural with the image and poems of the Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka in the center of Belgrade was destroyed for the second time.
The Z symbol was painted on it in black paint, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The destruction of the mural was reported on December 26 by the literary association "CROCODILE", which supported its creation. In addition to the Z symbol, on top of the mural it is also written in black paint: “Here is Serbia! There's no room for this! and “There is no Nazism here!!!”

A mural depicting Lesya Ukrainka in the naive style familiar to Belgrade appeared in the center of the Serbian capital in early October 2022. It was created by anonymous artists “as a sign of support for Ukrainians.” On October 8, the mural was partially damaged when a can of black paint was thrown at it, but a week later it was restored.
It's worth noting that "mural wars" are a common occurrence in Belgrade. For example, in September, Russian "liberals" visiting the city vandalized a mural depicting Serbian national hero General Ratko Mladić.

Apparently, the painting over of the mural of Lesya Ukrainka was a kind of response to the small rally of Russian emigrants in Belgrade, which was reported by PolitNavigator.

In Belgrade, a pro - Ukrainian mural was painted over with Z symbols.
