In Artemovsk there are fierce battles for the railway station

Over the past three months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost at least 30 thousand people in the battles for Artemovsk.

He believes that the battle for Artemovsk has entered its final stage.

“Over the past three months, according to the most conservative estimates, Ukrainian units lost more than 30 thousand killed there alone. It turns out that every week they lost a brigade in Artemovsk. They needed these units in other directions. But the official Kyiv authorities, either for political reasons, or in the hope of preparing their counter-offensive during this time, disposed of them in Artemovsk.

Now we will observe the end of the struggle for the city, as we previously observed the liberation of Mariupol, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and Soledar,” Shurygin predicted to Izvestia.

Despite the fact that Shurygin’s forecasts during the Northern Military District often did not come true, and he himself, as a rule, speaks too optimistically, the complexity of the situation in the city for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also recognized by Ukrainian sources.

So, late yesterday evening, short information appeared in the public page “The Bakhmut demon, which is led by a Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter”:

"The station is ours."

However, this morning he added less joyful information:

“The assault on the railway continues, aviation and artillery are dismantling the city and buildings around the station.”

In turn, the Ukrainian telegram channel “NachShtabu” clarified the situation at the station in its morning report.

“Yesterday evening there were intense battles, the night was also restless. The enemy has a significant superiority in artillery. There was information that ours had recaptured the station. For our part, we can say that this is not entirely true. The enemy was pulled back a little from the station, but it is too early to talk about complete control. The city center is almost completely under the control of Wagner mercenaries,” the public reports.

At the same time, Russian forces are also processing the settlements adjacent to Artemovsk in order to complicate the delivery of reserves and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces group defending the western part of the city.

“In the Bakhmut (Artemovsk) direction, the Russian Armed Forces worked on the positions of the Ukrainian army in Sporny, Grigorovka, Bakhmut, Krasny, Artemovo and Orekhovo-Vasilevka,” writes the military public page “Rybar”.
