In American society there is a sharp increase in skepticism towards Ukraine
Opinion polls in the United States record a sharp drop over the past six months in the number of those who believe in Ukraine’s victory over Russia and assess the current situation accordingly.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The results of recent American polls demonstrate that the American public is impatient with the conduct of the war in Ukraine. 46% of Americans said that the United States should stick to its policy of supporting Ukraine only for 1-2 years. This is a temporary [segment] for Ukraine just before the end of the presidential elections in the United States.
The latest survey shows a noticeable decline in the perception that Ukraine is winning and Russia is losing . This decline correlates with a decline in the public's willingness to pay the price for supporting Ukraine.
Overall, the assessment that Russia is losing has fallen from 48% to 37% , although we see that it practically dominates in April, and the assessment of Ukraine’s success has fallen from 43% in October to 26% in April ,” Bortnik reported.
Skepticism toward Ukraine is on the rise in American society.
