“We can already talk about the energy security of the republic” - Pushilin visited the Zuevskaya TPP
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, visited the city of Zugres on a working trip and held a meeting on the territory of the branch of the Zuevskaya Thermal Power Plant, discussing issues of energy security of the republic.

During the meeting, they considered the issues of transferring the Zuevskaya TPP to an alternative grade of coal mined in the Republic with a surplus (grade T coal), carrying out design work and relevant tests on the equipment of the Zuevskaya TPP, and also discussed personnel issues and the development of cooperation with specialized educational institutions.
In particular, Denis Pushilin emphasized the importance of the enterprise for the republic.
“Starobeshevskaya and Zuevskaya thermal power plants provide not only the Donetsk People's Republic, but also electricity for export. And if Starobeshevskaya TPP operates at almost full capacity, then at Zuevskaya TPP there is about 30% load. When will we be able to use those grades of coal that are mined in the Donetsk People's Republic and, in particular, grade “T” coal? And what indicators do we want to achieve after a certain reconstruction?” – he emphasized.
As told by I. O. Director of the Zuevskaya TPP branch of the State Unitary Enterprise Donbass Energy Evgeniy Zheleznyak, work is now underway to ensure a stable supply of coal products. At the moment, the main supplier of such coals is the Belorechenskaya mine of the State Unitary Enterprise VostokCoal, located on the territory of the LPR.
In addition, at the beginning of this year, pilot tests were carried out on the combustion of T-grade coal, which is mined by the DPR mines, and positive results were obtained. At the moment, preparatory work is being carried out towards the reconstruction of power units for burning T-grade coal without backlight fuel.
“Thus, we plan to fully load up to three constantly operating power units of the Zuevskaya TPP,” Zheleznyak emphasized.
Following the discussion of this issue, the head of state summarized that by the beginning of the heating season there will be several options for providing fuel.
“Accordingly, we can talk about complete energy security not only for the Donetsk People’s Republic, but also about export opportunities. This is important, we need to strive for this. If there are certain failures, I categorically insist that you contact them immediately - we will solve them through joint efforts,” Pushilin said.
Also during the meeting, the issue of training specialists directly at industry enterprises was raised. Denis Pushilin emphasized that the personnel issue should be resolved taking into account the long-term perspective.
“How to find, how to attract, how to keep young specialists here is a task that needs to be worked on on an ongoing basis. So that in 3, 4, 5 years this problem will no longer exist.
The state’s task is to create conditions so that enterprises can pay decent wages and eliminate the debts that they currently have to Energy of Donbass. Not everything just depends on money; people are the most important and valuable resource,” said the head of state.
Also during the visit, Denis Pushilin got acquainted with the work of the engine room of the thermal power plant and talked with employees of the enterprise.
During the conversation, issues related to the restoration of the city swimming pool, children's and sports grounds, passportization, border crossing, translation of regulatory documents and a directory of professions and positions to the professional standards of the Russian Federation were raised.
