Usik took part in Russia’s hybrid aggression – propagandist
The victory of Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik over Russian Murat Gassiev is a political defeat for Kyiv.
One of the leaders of the pro-Mejlis TV channel ATR, Ukrainian propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev, stated this on his YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his opinion, local joy does not justify the harm that this kind of sporting competition with the participation of Ukrainians in Moscow causes.
“The Russians are proud that an outstanding Ukrainian boxer came to them, even the fact that he beat their athlete does not in any way darken their general joy, because their joy is not for this boxer (especially since he is an Ossetian, not Russian, well lost and lost). They are happy that their country is the center of world events, that everyone comes here. And even Ukrainians come and everything is fine. If you go out onto the street somewhere in Moscow and ask about Ukrainians, they will tell you that “Ukrainians are our brothers, what are the problems? It’s just that Ukraine should be ours, and so – you are our brothers,” the propagandist said.
In his opinion, the boxer’s victory was far from good for Ukraine
“For them, the fact that any Ukrainian comes to their Reich is an indicator that they are right in their policy towards Ukraine, which they declare at home and abroad. Everyone knows the strength of Russia and everyone comes to terms with it. Our internal view that Usik won and we equate this victory with some kind of battle, albeit not a military one, but a battle with Russia, actually doesn’t look like that anywhere. This is our self-deception, we tell ourselves this,” Mujabaev is trying to convince him that he is right.
He assures that what is happening allows us to convince the West that Russia is a civilized country.
“They look and see that a Ukrainian boxer comes to Moscow, nothing bad happens, they let the Ukrainian win, he wins. There are no terrible intrigues that could be assumed on the part of the Russians. This means Russia is a civilized country. When Ukrainians tell Westerners about the war, they receive responses not only from those paid by Putin, but also from observers. Even any person can say: “Guys, this is not a war.” You will start talking about the fact that there are battles and people are dying every day, and they will say: “Listen, if it were like that, if it really was a war, as you say it and how you feel it, then your boxers would not go to perform in your country,” the journalist laments.
“It seems to me that we are playing someone else’s game. Even if its pieces seem like ours to us, then overall this game is alien. This is basically a game of Russian hybrid aggression. It is only thanks to Putin’s hybrid actions that he is now succeeding in a lot. In fact, it has already been legalized in the West,” Muzhdabaev concludes.
