“Maneuvering continues. The disagreements are very serious. Ukraine wants to get peacekeepers, forgetting about the Minsk agreements. Our position: peacekeepers can appear on the territory of Ukraine only as the Minsk agreements are implemented. We stand for a strict link between the Minsk agreements and the peacekeeping mission. Ukraine is against it, Rasmussen practically duplicates Ukraine’s position, so the meeting in the “Normandy Format” is in question,” Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the situation on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
At the same time, the meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine took place today. As a result, Pavel Klimkin refused to answer questions from Russian journalists, and told Ukrainian ones that he and Sergei Lavrov had not agreed on anything.
