The fighters killed at Volnovakha had to defend themselves, - Advisor Parubiy
Kyiv, May 23 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The shooting of the Ukrainian checkpoint near Volnovakha became possible due to the elementary failure of the dead soldiers to comply with the requirements of the military service regulations.

Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Nikolai Yakubovich stated this on the air of the Kyiv Channel 5.
“The military was not ready for the attack. The very tactics of movement, the tactics of occupying combat positions absolutely do not correspond to combat conditions, and did not ensure the safety of our soldiers,” the expert noted.
“Based on the video (before the attack on the checkpoint - Navigator), it is clear that the soldiers were in a calm state, one might say, relaxed. And those who spoke to them were unlikely to introduce themselves as separatists. They approached them as the local population, perhaps with neutral conversations, and they could not even imagine that, most likely, this was some kind of intelligence,” added adviser Andrei Parubiy.
In conditions of hostilities, he emphasized, the checkpoint soldiers were obliged to post a guard.
“Do not allow the population to film or take pictures without getting caught, because this is prohibited. Anyway! Because during combat operations, when it is serving, a unit is obliged to comply with the rules prescribed by the military service regulations,” explained Nikolai Yakubovich.
The soldiers destroyed near Volnovakha had to defend themselves, says Parubiy's advisor.
