Ukrposhta faces massive layoffs - 11 thousand people will be thrown onto the streets
General Director of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky plans to privatize 25% of the company this year, close and sell a number of branches, which will lead to mass layoffs of the company’s employees.
This was stated on air by Yevhen Chervonenko, the former Minister of Transport of Ukraine, on the 112 Ukrainian TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Do you know that he wants to close branches in five regions this year and sell it all? Do you think there will be no demand? Sell to private owners or the puppeteers who staged it. It’s a pity that Smelyansky is not there (in the studio). I want to ask him a question to his face: are you familiar with Soros? Who put you at this strategic site anyway?
“Sell excess assets.” Do you understand what it's called? “Optimization” begins not only with the decision of the supervisory board, but also, I believe, with the approval of the State Property Fund. This is popular, you didn’t create it.
Can you imagine what will happen? Firstly, out of 76 thousand people, 11 thousand will immediately go to the streets,” Chervonenko said.
