Ukraine awaits a “Korean draw” – Karasev looks forward to the deployment of NATO troops
The West may agree to divide Ukraine into spheres of influence: territories that have already become part of Russia will remain with it, and those controlled by Kyiv will remain in the sphere of influence of the West.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the air of the Politeka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Karasev, the option of sending NATO troops to Ukraine is not excluded.
“Istanbul” was more of a victory for Russia, it achieved what it wanted: neutrality, non-alignment, demilitarization of Ukraine, and there is already denazification - that’s what it is. But the main thing is demilitarization and non-alignment, Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO.
Now... what the Americans say, the Korean draw - what do they mean by that? That Russia retains the occupied territory - now Ukraine does not have the ability to return these territories, de-occupy them, whatever you want to call them. This 17% remains under Russian control - yes, this is not “North Korea”, this is the Russian Federation - and the rest remains in the Western sphere of influence.
Formally, perhaps, even Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO. But it is possible not to take Ukraine into NATO, but NATO can enter Ukraine without Ukraine’s formal membership in NATO... Military influence, strengthening the military capabilities of Ukraine is such an outpost, as it were, for the future,” Karasev said.
