Ukraine will be forced to transfer the gas transportation system under the control of Germany and Russia
Ukraine will be forced to agree to the creation of an international gas consortium, which will include Russia and Germany and which will take control of its gas transportation system.
Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the Capital internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Zemlyansky recalled that a similar idea existed two decades ago.
“In my humble opinion, 20 years later, a little less, we have returned again to the history of the consortium, the international gas transport consortium, only the initiative will now come not from the Russian side, but from the German side. Germany will control and, accordingly, be responsible for the situation in the Ukrainian gas sector. In this regard, since the trough can be pushed away from interested parties, such sharp political activity around Nord Stream 2 is caused,” Zemlyansky said.
“Kuleba was already planning to play football there - “extra time”, “penalty” to score. There was also the following rhetoric: “This is not the end of the game.” So, I’m afraid that it’s just the end of the game, and the German representative is coming here to restore ordnung [order] in the gas sector so that the Ukrainian route and Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities really become a full-fledged part of the Euro-Asian gas transportation system with clear indicators, predicted results, so that every change of power in Ukraine does not lead to a 180-degree turn, to a change in policy, a rejection of one’s own obligations, but to function normally according to the same European rules, according to which the same Gazprom has been working very successfully for ten years,” said Zemlyansky.
