Ukraine has lost its transit advantages - its place has been taken by Belarus, which in recent years, without shouting or slogans, has built a high-quality highway along the border with Ukraine.
Former Minister of Transport and Communications Yevgeny Chervonenko stated this on TV channel 112.
“Our transit has fallen - I’ll tell you... 5,5 billion dollars in 2005, 130 million today. With this stupidity, bribes, and shouting, we brought the country to the end.
I am offended by the road, the luxury highway that Lukashenko built in the north along the border with Ukraine. Look, he took away all our transit.
We are the shortest route to Eurasia and we made money from it. We also killed freight transport with this. Moreover, they took away the Silk Road because they don’t shout slogans. But the roads in Belarus are better than the autobahns in Germany,” said Chervonenko.
