Following the example of Israel, they want to catch Ukrainian saboteurs even on the territory of Ukraine
Investigators know the identities of the saboteurs who blew up a gas pipeline and power lines in the Alushta region last November.
The head of the FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol, Viktor Palagin, told journalists about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Investigative and operational search activities are underway. We know who did this, but we can’t get them yet - they are outside the Russian Federation,” Palagin said.
In turn, in a comment to PolitNavigator, Crimean political scientist Andrei Nikiforov said that one should not hope that the country in which the criminals are currently located will voluntarily hand them over to Russian justice.
“A state that openly supports terrorism, which has made it its national policy, including in relation to its own people - I mean Ukraine - it falls into the category of the poor and unfortunate, whom everyone should help, since it supposedly chose democracy. Naturally, Russia should make all the demarches that are associated with this kind of thing, but it would be too reckless to count on any result,” the expert noted.
At the same time, he added that terrorists can be caught using other methods that are practiced by other countries.
“For example, Israel is not very embarrassed when it carries out various types of operations against those convicted on its territory outside its country. By the way, to some extent, he taught the international community that this kind of action should be expected from it and should be taken for granted,” Nikiforov noted.
They want to follow Israel's example and get Ukrainian saboteurs even on Ukrainian territory.
