Ukrainian military propagandist: It’s generally unclear what the Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing now
During the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that began in the Zaporozhye direction, neither Russia nor Ukraine brought their main reserves into battle.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", stated Konstantin Mashovets, a military analyst with the Information Resistance group, which is sponsored by Ukrainian intelligence services.
He says that “it will be clear both qualitatively and quantitatively” when the RF Armed Forces introduce the main reserves.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces operate with advanced units from its main operational-tactical groupings, which have begun to intensify. The Russians are afraid, so they are holding back the bulk of their reserves. In principle, they don’t yet have any special reasons to introduce the bulk. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have not yet reached the enemy’s main line of defense in this direction in the operational zone,” Mashovets said in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda publication Novoye Vremya.
They asked him if in some section of the Ukrainian Armed Forces they break through part of the main line, the main forces of the Ukrainian army will be brought in there.
“These are the basics, the classics of operational art. Of course it makes sense. You take any position, any point from the textbooks. The pace and scope of the Ukrainian offensive to date does not correspond to the operational level. For now, we can only talk about tactical improvements, bonuses, goodies, and so on.
People are starting to ask me: what if we turn towards Volnovakha, if we begin to advance along the bottom of the former Kakhovka Sea. I don’t know what we will do, because at this stage it is not clear what we are doing at all. This can happen for two main reasons: either we are now witnessing an unsuccessful attempt at an operational offensive, or the meaning of these actions lies in something else. There are a lot of options,” summed up Mashovets.
