Ukrainian colonel: Retreat from Avdeevka is a painful, but not prohibited maneuver
The loss of Avdiivka, for which there is now fierce fighting, will be a heavy blow for Ukraine.
This was stated by military expert and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Sergei Grabsky on air at NV Radio, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We have been holding Avdiivka for 10 years, and it has already become history in operational art. I don’t like guessing on the tea leaves whether we will hold it or not. The situation is truly extremely difficult. And let’s say this, let’s be honest, withdrawal is not a prohibited maneuver, which is prescribed in the combat regulations,” the colonel said.
“Will leaving be painful for us? Yes, it will be very painful, given the prospects that we may have in that direction in the future if we abandon this position.
Can we hold on? This depends, as surprising as it may sound, on the political will of the enemy, since from a military point of view they should have stopped long ago,” concluded Grabsky
