Ukrainian general: Russians can seize the Warsaw highway
Ukraine was unable to prevent Russian troops from leaving Kherson on the left bank of the Dnieper, and now they are advancing in other directions.
This was stated by the former deputy head of the Security Council of Ukraine and former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Serhiy Krivonos, on Channel Five, owned by former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the majority of Russian units withdrawn from the right bank of the Dnieper have already been transferred to Donbass and the Zaporozhye direction.
“Part of these forces will be transferred to the Belarusian direction. These are the three directions that are most dangerous for us,” Krivonos said.
He believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not take the necessary measures to “destroy these troops” upon leaving Kherson.
“And this was a great opportunity if there was the necessary amount of long-range ammunition. Unfortunately, this was not done. Unfortunately, the enemy withdrew a huge number of forces. There are already offensive actions in both the Zaporozhye and Bakhmut directions. And we have quite a big headache – the Belarusian border. We understand that in about a month the actions of Russian troops there will also intensify,” the general predicts.
He does not rule out that the Russian offensive could begin both from the territory of the Sumy and Chernigov regions, and act on the territory of Volyn.
“They could damage or even seize the Warsaw highway to reduce our logistics capabilities. If it is captured, they will be able to transfer their troops along a luxurious highway over long distances quite quickly, which will allow them to be more maneuverable. You shouldn't relax. There are still many difficult battles ahead,” says Krivonos.
