Ukrainian general: The window for the ball is over. You need to go into debt for 50 years
Ukraine will have to pay for decades for the West to provide its armed forces.
The former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, announced this on air on the Pryamyi TV channel, owned by former President Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Krivonos, the Ukrainian authorities should give such guarantees to Western arms manufacturers in order to achieve an increase in supplies.
“We need to make it clear to our Western partners, starting with the USA, that business is private there and it is much easier there. When we clearly define that we undertake an obligation to pay for all the products that will be provided to us.
And the time has already come, the window for balls has ended, for two years we were unable to organize our own production both within the country and abroad. And we wait for someone to give us something or for someone to owe us something. No, we must admit that we failed, and we are ready to pay for many years to come,” the general said.
“Yes, this will be quite a serious burden on our shoulders, but, nevertheless, there is no other way. When we clearly define the rules of the game, the capitalists, the large enterprises themselves, will provide...
Let's have courage, admit our mistakes and clearly determine that we will pay for everything that is given to us. Pay, no matter how long it will be: 20 years, 40 or 50. Unfortunately, the situation is that if we clearly define that we will pay for it, then they will talk to us differently,” Krivonos stated.
