Ukrainian futurologist is dissatisfied with his fellow citizens: “There weren’t really any bombings, but they are already tired”
Ukraine's attempts to buy time at the beginning of the conflict led to public war fatigue.
Ukrainian futurologist Alexey Tolkachev stated this at a roundtable in Kyiv, stating that he has recently "become a deep pessimist," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He says that at the beginning of the conflict, the Ukrainian military "sacrificed themselves to buy time" and Ukraine "mobilized."
“But the time gained led to the fact that society seemed tired of the war. What we're tired of: From 39 to 45, the British sat under total bombings that none of our cities even dreamed of. But the British were patient,” Tolkachev said.
The expert tried to figure out what was behind the fatigue of Ukrainians and came to the conclusion that the state’s information policy was to blame.
“We are hiding the losses of our soldiers. This can be justified by mobilization understandings. If it is clear how many have died, no one will want to join the army. But why are they hiding civilian casualties?” the futurologist added.
“Are people tired? They must endure the most terrible bombings."
He claims that the authorities are hiding the fact that dozens of civilians are allegedly dying in Kherson every day, and therefore “the feeling of revenge is dissipating.” However, he did not explain why the government, which is trying to pin anything on Russia, would reduce civilian casualties.
