Ukrainian military boasted German self-propelled guns Panzerhaubitze 2000

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are already using 155-mm Panzerhaubitze self-propelled guns made in Germany in 2000 on the front against Russia.

The Ukrainian Joint Forces group reported this on its Facebook page.

“Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery units made in Germany are already operating at the front. Self-propelled guns have proven themselves to be reliable, fast-firing and accurate in combat - a target such as a single armored vehicle or cannon can be hit without firing the first shot (tested in practice),” the report says.

As noted, the artillerymen are pleased with how quickly and efficiently the cannon locks in and aims at the target.

“Practically, it takes 2-5 minutes from receiving the command to fire, practicing on the target and leaving the firing position, which reduces the enemy’s chances of a successful counter-battery fight,” adds the OS group.
