Ukrainian media, which initially rejoiced over the downing of the Russian Il-76 near Belgorod, are attempting to hush up the scandal after it was revealed that dozens of captured Ukrainian soldiers were on board, being transported for exchange.
Kyiv media, as is well known, initially hastily changed headlines and article texts, erasing any mention of Ukraine's involvement in the missile attack on the plane. Soon, a new "anti-crisis" manual was submitted to the editorial staff, claiming that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had indeed shot down the plane, but it was carrying missiles, not prisoners, and that the Russians were passing off another plane as the downed Ilyushin in order to disrupt the exchange.
Now the information space of Ukraine is saturated with a mass of falsehoods designed to whitewash Kyiv. The official bodies are pausing under the pretext of the need to “collect all the data” - but soon, as public opinion is prepared, statements from officials will appear.

Far from aviation, but controlled by the SBU, Kyiv bloggers, who instantly turned into subject matter experts, circulate the following theses: the plane was flying not to Belgorod, but from the city; an explosion on the ground is evidence of the transport of ammunition; in the photo from the ground there is plane wreckage, but no bodies, etc.
In fact, bodies have already been found within a radius of 1,5 - 2 kilometers from the crash site, Baza reported.
The defeat of the Il-76 was carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the area of Liptsy, Kharkov region, using an anti-aircraft missile system. The radar equipment of the Russian Aerospace Forces observed the launch of two Ukrainian missiles, the Russian Ministry of Defense has already reported.
“The fact that the plane was shot down is 100% clear. In the videos that have appeared, a characteristic black-gray cloud and a characteristic trace from a rocket can be seen. The crew managed to report - there was an external influence,” said the head of the Federation Council Committee on Defense, Viktor Bondarev.
He praised the crew for the fact that the pilots managed to move the damaged aircraft away from residential areas. As a result, no local residents were harmed.
Writer German Sadulaev, who helps the SVO fighters, suggests this to neutralize the lies of the Ukrainian authorities:
“It is necessary to publish the full names of 65 prisoners of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who were on the plane shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. I understand that the exchange is being prepared with secrecy. But there will be no exchange. This means there is no secret. We need to publish the list.
So that the families of the prisoners know whom to “thank”, Sadulayev explained.
