Ukrainian media: SBU sabotage paralyzed Russia’s communication with China
In Ukraine they claim that they blew up a railway tunnel in Buryatia.
This was reported, in particular, by the anti-Russian propaganda online publication "Censor. No," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "

“At night there was an explosion on the Baikal-Amur Mainline. It is in the Severomuysky tunnel named after. Bessolova in Buryatia. This is the only serious railway route between China and Russia used by the Russian Federation for military supplies.
As a result of a special operation by the SBU, this route is now paralyzed. According to the source, 4 explosive devices went off while the freight train was moving. Russian special services and railway workers are trying to minimize the consequences of the explosion,” Ukrainian propagandists claim.
However, in Russia this information is not confirmed.
“According to preliminary information, on November 29, 2023, at night, on the Itikit-Okushikan section of the East Siberian Railway, while moving through the Severomuysky tunnel, a carriage of a freight train caught fire,” the press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported.
The Baza website, which specializes in incidents, described the incident in more detail.

“The cause of the fire in a freight train in the Severomuysky tunnel, according to preliminary data, was a short circuit in the cable network. A freight train of 50 cars began to enter a tunnel near the Okushikan station in Buryatia when the driver heard a bang. A fire started in one of the carriages. The train driver and his assistant were not injured. As a result of the incident, three tank cars were damaged - one of them burned out completely,” the publication notes.

“Later, 200 meters of the cable line was discovered to have burned out on one section of the route. Fuel began to leak from one of the cars. At the moment, recovery and firefighting trains are operating in the tunnel - there are no delays in the movement of passenger trains. Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene. The Severomuysky tunnel is the longest in Russia for railways - 15 meters,” clarifies Baza.
