The Ukrainian war turns into a European one with the use of nuclear weapons – Starikov
Permission to fire Western weapons deep into Russian territory means the transition of the conflict to a new stage, in which the risk of nuclear strikes increases.
Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Now the most dangerous thing that could happen—the most dangerous thing is that it has already happened—is that the war is spreading from Ukrainian territory to the territory of the Russian Federation. This isn't dangerous for the Russian-Ukrainian relationship; it's advantageous for us to shift the war to the enemy's territory. And within the framework of strategic nuclear stability, this will lead to an escalation of tensions, an escalatory component, and the escalation of the war not into a world war, but, let's call it, a war in the European theater of military operations involving non-strategic nuclear weapons."
“That is, the war from the Russian-Ukrainian one is now in the first stage of its transition to a completely different phase of the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons ,” Starikov stated.
