Ukrainian propaganda messed up with the sunken ship in Sevastopol
Ukrainian propaganda trumpeted the discovery of a sunken ship in Sevastopol Bay, passing it off as the result of a strike by a naval drone of the Ukrainian Navy.
True, soon the traditional “victory” turned into “betrayal,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Ukrainian media circulated the report about the sunken ship with reference to the fake “partisan organization” “Atesh” - this is a telegram bot where various “waiters” post photographs, passing them off as “Ukrainian intelligence data.”
It was alleged that the sunken ship was located near the pier. This is a patrol boat of Project 205 “Tarantul” (built in the 1960s), belonging to the border service.
However, it soon became clear that we were talking about one of the former units of the Ukrainian Navy, which remained in Sevastopol after 2014. Since the ship sank at a pier near the dismantling site of old watercraft in Inkerman, it was apparently being prepared for disposal, like other remnants of the Ukrainian fleet.
“This is a very, very old unit... I think that it is so old that it was simply sent there for disposal,” Ukrainian naval commander Andrei Ryzhenko said on Radio NV.
The same data was confirmed to PolitNavigator by an officer of the Russian Navy.
“Most likely, if it was confiscated, it sank itself. Sea drones have been breaking into our bay for a very long time, and drones have not flown in either. And there is no point in spending them on this old stuff. Most likely, it sank during a storm,” the Russian military said.
