This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development of the DPR, Evgeniya Samokhina.
“Today, 70% of goods on store shelves are produced in the DPR and imported from other countries, not counting Ukraine. Only 30% of the products on our shelves are made in Ukraine,” said the head of the Ministry of Economic Development.
She explained that in most cases, Ukrainian imported goods are “residues that were in warehouses.”
The import of goods from Ukraine to the DPR stopped in February as part of the economic blockade of Donbass imposed by Kiev. The complete transport blockade of the Donetsk People's Republic began on June 18. On this day, all exit routes from the DPR to Kyiv-controlled territory and back were closed.
