Moscow political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko, visiting Crimea, published a recording of a Ukrainian folk dance performed by girls in national costumes on the embankment in the center of Yalta.
The performance took place as part of a festival taking place in the city, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Some commentators on the Instagram page asked the author how appropriate such loyalty to Ukrainians in Crimea is at a time “when Donbass is fighting for the right to be Russian.”
“All these are just elements of culture, which may well be considered Russian (part of all-Russian). In themselves, these elements, outside the political context, are not dangerous and once again demonstrate both the lack of hatred towards Ukrainian culture and ethnicity in Crimea, and the contrast with what is happening in Ukraine,” Bezpalko explained.
