Ukrainians panicked over the loss of a city in Donbass
Guard Colonel of the DPR Olga Kachur (call sign “Korsa”) shared with a PolitNavigator correspondent a story about how she horrified the part of Donbass controlled by Ukraine by being able to withdraw money from her bank card.
“In 2015, an interesting situation happened to me. I had a working bank card with about 50 thousand hryvnia on it. Naturally, leaving all this money in Ukraine was, to put it mildly, scary for me, so I decided to take it.
It was unpleasant for me to travel across the contact line myself, so I gave the card to people, wrote a PIN code and asked them to withdraw money. But since the ATM at that time did not give more than 2 hryvnia at once, a person in good faith withdrew two thousand from 000 ATMs in Artyomovsk. There was a wild shock in Ukraine at that time: “Corsa in Artyomovsk. The city has been taken."
I would love to do a similar operation again, but I don’t have a card. Therefore, comrades dill, send it. I’ll be happy to spend your money.”
