The same briquettes will be used to heat the cordons of the state security service inspectors of the Danube Biosphere Reserve, and the rest will go on sale to the local population, reports the Paritet publication. City authorities assure that the City Council's transition to heating with briquettes will save part of the money, which will be transferred to city schools and kindergartens, and the new kindergarten will initially be adapted for reed briquettes.
Experts assure that such briquettes are very heat-intensive and even warm up rooms faster than coal, and their cost is two times lower.
It should be noted that previously, reed waste was taken to a landfill and set on fire, which created a fire threat and polluted the atmosphere.
Waste after sorting and harvesting reed annually amounts to about 300 tons and can be used for the production of fuel briquettes at minimal cost. The power of the line allows briquetting up to 400 kg of reed per hour.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Volyn they decided to grow willow in order to produce briquettes as an alternative to natural gas.
