Ukrainians are preparing a budget for total cuts in social spending
Due to the antisocial orientation of the state budget of Ukraine for 2021, its adoption may be postponed.
This was stated by the director of UIAMP, Ruslan Bortnik, on the NEWSONE TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Perhaps the budget will be adopted in the first reading. But given what is proposed, it seems to me that they will not rush to accept it. Because if society understands that subsidies are minus 2 billion (conditionally), and the office of the president, the Verkhovna Rada, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the GPU are plus seven billion, then society may evaluate this very negatively on the eve of the elections.
In general, this budget would have to perform two functions. Firstly, to become a vote of confidence in the government. If it is not voted on, the government will resign. The second function is that he should be a PR agent for the authorities in local elections.
This budget is worse in its parameters than Goncharuk’s budget. This is a budget for reducing social expenses, social support and increasing expenses for the security apparatus and control unit, for officials,” the political scientist said.
