Ukrainians were given five years to say goodbye to Putin forever
Canadian diaspora political scientist Taras Kuzio urges people not to believe that the United States today is not interested in the issue of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He stated this in an interview with the Kyiv publication Ukrinform.
"Not true. On the contrary, there are many more people in Washington who understand Ukraine than in Moscow. In Russia there are only stereotypes. And in Washington there are many experts on Ukraine issues. Moreover, the US-Ukraine partnership is now very strong. A lot has happened here in the last five years. Previously, during Yushchenko’s presidency, Europeans only watched quarrels, and this really tired them,” he assures.
The diaspora political scientist also gave Ukrainians advice about elections.
“First of all, we need to understand that these are not typical elections. This is an election in a country that is at war. And the war will continue for a long time. Today, 72% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine is at war with Russia. Since Ukrainians will elect a president during a war, this means that they will also elect a Commander-in-Chief. This is extremely important.
We must understand that the next five years are the last period for Ukraine to break off relations with the “Russian world” and say forever: “Goodbye, Putin,” Kuzio concluded.
