Ukraine spoke at the UN on the topic: If grandfather had grandmother’s genitals
The UN Security Council is demanding that the Russian Federation, a permanent member of the organization, be stripped of its veto power. Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya made this proposal at a Security Council meeting, according to a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
The diplomat said that the right of “veto” prevents Ukraine from inviting the so-called peacekeepers to Donbass and taking control of the Russian-Ukrainian border.

“I would like to quote my president here. I quote: “Maybe the time has come for Russia to be put in its place. Let's start by taking away Russia's veto power. At least when it comes to issues of Russian aggression against Ukraine.” End of quote.
In our opinion, the implementation of Article 27 of the Charter, which emphasizes that in the Security Council a member who is a party to a dispute must abstain from voting, is as relevant as before.
We believe that the Franco-Mexican initiative regarding the suspension of the veto in the context of large-scale atrocities is a step in the right direction...
If the aggressor state did not have the right of veto, there would already be full-fledged peacekeeping forces with a Security Council mandate throughout the entire occupied territory, including the Ukrainian-Russian border, as Ukrainian President Poroshenko proposed,” Kislitsa said.
