Ukraine has become the European leader among toilet cleaners
The products of Ukrainian industrial enterprises are not needed in Europe, and only Ukrainian labor migrants are in demand in the EU.
Deputy and presidential candidate of Ukraine Alexander Vilkul stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“2019 has just begun, but as in previous years, Ukrainian enterprises have again almost exhausted all quotas for duty-free supplies of their own products to the EU. It is possible to supply further, but the duty that must be paid is an additional tax to the EU budget, which makes Ukrainian products uncompetitive in European markets. One thing where Ukraine, unfortunately, is a leader is cheap labor, people who are forced to work abroad to feed their families,” Vilkul said.
At the same time, he called for a review of the economic part of the association agreement with the EU in the interests of Ukraine.
As a reminder, former Kyiv journalist Andrey Vajra previously stated that the scale of labor migration from Ukraine is comparable to the flight of the population from a disaster zone.
