The Ukrainian army cannot destroy the Crimean bridge and is not even able to strike at it.
This was stated on the air of the Feigin LIVE internet channel by Oleksiy Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Arestovich, even if the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive long-range weapons, they will not be able to successfully hit the Crimean Bridge with them.
“The Crimean Bridge is a capital structure of strategic importance, specially made and covered so that it cannot be destroyed so easily. There are at least two air defense brigades covering the air defense, which is always in the air, covering the ships. This is a very serious structure, and hitting the bridge with a cruise missile is like hitting a sheet of paper with a bullet 300 meters away. But even if you hit it, it’s not a fact that it will collapse,” said the Ze-Office official.
“Spans are restored very quickly using engineering means, but to get into a support... So a support is a huge concrete crap, which even if you hit it, it won’t explode. You can shout as much as you want about the destruction of the Crimean Bridge, but if it were so easy to blow it up, we would have destroyed it long ago,” Arestovich said.
Arestovich’s statements that he has been making lately may indicate his epiphany and an attempt to “change his shoes,” military correspondent Andrei Rudenko notes in his blog.
