What has been happening in Ukraine in recent years does not at all fit with the concept of “democracy”.
Political scientist Evgeny Filindash stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If we look at the last few years, we will see that there is no talk of any freedom of speech. We see pressure on the few remaining opposition media, we see threats, murders, attacks on journalists and the government’s failure to investigate these crimes... In my opinion, we already have authoritarianism, and the trends that exist, the situation is worsening to the point that, perhaps we are moving towards totalitarianism. Let's move. We may not have reached it yet, but we are confidently on the way to this,” said Filindash
