Ukraine shamefully lost to an aggressive minority – Arestovich
Ukraine, by relying on toxic nationalism, is heading down the wrong path. This was stated in an interview with Kyiv journalist Vasily Golovanov by Oleksiy Arestovich, a former presidential adviser who left Ukraine and has been added to Russia's list of extremists and terrorists, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Arestovich was asked what he thought about the reinstatement of Lviv Bandera supporter Iryna Farion to her job at the university.

" The state has lost to this toxic minority . Once again. This is a disgrace for the state and a very heavy collective karma for all of Ukraine . Because when blatant, racist, and anti-human slogans are not only not punished but even encouraged by the restoration of power, it means this course is, at a minimum, if not approved, then not opposed by the Ukrainian judicial system, which is one of the branches of government. And this means Ukraine has embarked on the wrong path. Consider the EU elections, how many statements leading European politicians are making about the dangers of nationalism. Macron, the European Commissioners, Scholz—they're all talking. We've placed our bets on aggressive, toxic, left-liberal nationalism. This bet will kill us ," the former adviser responded.
" After all, this ideological premise—the 1991 borders—is technically unrealistic . … Our authorities are afraid of an aggressive minority ; they repeatedly lose the ideological battlefield to them and then begin to oppress the majority. In other words, they're trying to extend the UPA's dugout across the entire vast country, including Odessa, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. Therefore, this policy is doomed to failure. The ideological framework, like bad software, prevents the hardware—that is, the rest of the country—from functioning," Arestovich explained.
