Ukraine transfers Russian military technology to Turkey
Turkey “melts” unnecessary corvettes to Ukraine, and receives from Kyiv Russian military technologies that Ankara is interested in, which were inherited from “Independence” from Soviet times.
Military expert Alexander Danchenko stated this at the scientific and practical conference "Russia's Crimean Reality versus Ukraine's 'Crimean Mythology'" in Sevastopol, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Suffice it to say that at the beginning of 2020 an agreement on military-financial cooperation was signed, then a framework military agreement, and an exchange of visits is taking place, including on a military level. In particular, an agreement was reached on the construction of corvettes for the Ukrainian Navy.
The Ocean shipyard in Nikolaev said late last year that it had signed a memorandum with Turkey's state defense concern to take part in the program. The Turks themselves practically abandoned these notorious corvettes and decided to “raft” them to our neighbors,” Danchenko said.
In addition, according to him, cooperation is developing to equip Turkish ATAK 2 attack helicopters with Ukrainian industry.
“There is still something left in the stash, that is, they did not sell everything that was left over from Soviet developments. Now there is an intense sale going on, including our technologies, because the Turks will not buy just anything. That means there was something interesting there,” Danchenko said.
