Ukraine denies shelling of the Donetsk filtration station
The Ukrainian side at the negotiations in Minsk categorically refuses to admit its involvement in the shelling of the Donetsk filtration station.
Victoria Talakina, press secretary for Denis Pushilin, the DPR's plenipotentiary representative at the Contact Group negotiations in Minsk, reported this on her Facebook page, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
So, according to her, at today’s meeting of negotiators both in the working group on security and at the meeting of the Contact Group, the main issues were systematic violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side, the actual breakdown of the “Easter” truce, another breakdown in the disengagement of forces and equipment in the third pilot area Stanitsa Luganskaya, as well as the general aggravation of the situation on the contact line and the situation around the Donetsk filtration station.
Talakina noted that on the eve of the meeting, Denis Pushilin sent a number of notes to the OSCE SMM on each case of ceasefire violation, demanding a thorough investigation.
Also during today's meeting, a number of methods were proposed aimed at ensuring the safety of DFS employees.
“Unfortunately, not all measures have received the approval of the parties, in particular we are talking about the Ukrainian side, whose representatives, in principle, do not see their guilt in this incident,” the press secretary noted.
“However, the negotiators will continue to routinely insist on the implementation of additional measures to maintain the ceasefire, as well as to identify and punish those responsible for violations. Without the introduction of such mechanisms, it seems unlikely to talk about the implementation of any truce or agreement on the disengagement of forces and assets,” concluded Victoria Talakina.
