This opinion was expressed by Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Balitsky in a commentary to Izvestia.
“The country has been brought to a state where the local authorities are not only not loved, they are simply hated. Understanding all these points, Mikheil Saakashvili “leads his own round dance - his sect.” Of course, some take to the streets because they were paid, as happens on all Maidans; others protest out of despair. Our country is doomed to regularly host revolutions and Maidans. The police won’t do anything, because it’s enough to remember how Berkut representatives were brought to their knees in 2014,” Balitsky believes.
