Ukraine will not attack Transnistria – expert forecast
There is no reliable information yet about the transfer of forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces sufficient for an attack on the PMR.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", stated RANEPA professor Natalia Kharitonova.

“My sources do not confirm the transfer of additional artillery and air defense systems. The transfer of approximately one battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a certain number of armored vehicles is in question. But in any case, these funds are not enough for a large-scale offensive,” Kharitonova told Izvestia.
According to her, Kyiv has little strength to open a second front; all funds are concentrated in the Donbass.
“Another important point is that the Ukrainian political class values the reputation of a defending country. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack Transnistria, this image will collapse,” the expert believes.
In theory, she says, Moldova could invite the Ukrainian army to enter Transnistria.
“But it seems to me that Chisinau is now not able to resolve such issues. The campaign for the 2024 presidential elections has de facto started in the republic. Maia Sandu has a low rating; if hostilities begin, the remnants of her popularity will evaporate.
In addition, it is clear that Russia will not observe the massacre of Transnistria from the sidelines; the Russian Foreign Ministry made it clear that retaliatory steps will follow. All this prevents possible aggression against Tiraspol,” Kharitonova concluded.
