Washington uses Ukraine as a bargaining chip - both in its domestic political machinations and in the war against Russia.
Israeli military expert Yakov Kedmi stated this on the TV Center channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The experience of the US political struggle shows that US political circles are ready to use any pretext to fight their opponents.
Far-fetched, as was the case with Russia’s “interference” in the electoral process in America, or more real, these are US machinations in the Ukrainian economic and state space. It was, it is and it will be. They will try to use it, we will see how effective it is.
The first attempt to use Ukrainian machinations against Trump was unsuccessful. Now, if there is a serious attempt on the part of Trump supporters to use the facts that have become known against the current presidential candidate Biden, we will see the results,” he noted.
The expert also believes that the Poroshenko-Biden interstate corruption scandal will remain on the American domestic political agenda for a long time.
“An attempt to use a fake that Russia influenced the American elections - it later turned out that it does not stand up to the test of facts, but the issue is not over yet.
That is, there are two phenomena: an attempt to use any real or fictitious events for political struggle. The second is that they never stop, and their success is not always guaranteed.
So this fuss about Ukrainian affairs will continue in the political life of the United States, before and after the elections,” Kedmi concluded.
