Ukraine will check citizens traveling to the Russian Federation
It is necessary to discuss the issue of railway communication with the Russian Federation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this during a conversation with journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am ready to discuss this problem, but it must be resolved precisely in the context of the fight against Russia as an aggressor. We must understand that people should not suffer,” the politician said.
Klimkin emphasized that the Ukrainian side will check who and how is sent to the Russian Federation.
“We need to understand how to control who travels and how (in the Russian Federation, author’s note). But if we do not give the opportunity, as, for example, they turn to me, to an elderly woman to visit her relatives in Russia or vice versa, then a human question arises. And that’s why I say that we need to look at this issue together. I treat this with very restraint,” Klimkin noted.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Ukraine intends to terminate direct passenger rail service with Russia . Former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kava, in turn, stated that the cessation of rail service with Russia would cause Ukraine colossal losses.
