Ukraine no longer demands that Russia withdraw its troops and has turned the “peace formula” inside out
Ukraine no longer demands the withdrawal of Russian troops in peace talks. This follows from the formula presented to the international community at the so-called peace summit, the declaration of which was signed by the majority of participants.
Kyiv political scientist Gennady Dubov made this statement on the internet channel "Yes Eto Tak," as reported by PolitNavigator. Dubov noted that the Ukrainian government brought to the summit the three final points of President Zelenskyy's so-called peace formula, forgetting the core demands.
“These three points of the peace plan, we understand, of course, they are important, but they are secondary options for the settlement that the plan sets for itself. That is, the first point there is the withdrawal of Russian Federation troops from the territory of Ukraine legally recognized by the international community. Today, even at the level of a statement, we do not have this kind of statement, which would be signed by dozens or hundreds of countries.
"Therefore, at the level of this idea, which should have concluded the process in principle, which should have been developed at the level of security advisers, which should have had some basis in the form of a formula for implementing each of the points, describing in technical terms when and on what day the troops will be withdrawn, when war criminals will be punished, and so on. We don't see any of this – we see that today, what should have been the end is being declared as the beginning of a new process, which will already include the Russian Federation . In other words, where there should have been a final destination, we have a train departing somewhere, into a world not yet fully understood and explored," Dubov stated.
