Ukraine breaks records for heat debts
Ukrainian heating and power utilities have accumulated huge debts for consumed gas and NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is doing nothing to solve this problem, trying to shift it to local councils.
Dmitry Marunich, an energy expert, stated this on air on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

“Record debts of heating and communal services. Just as they were 30 billion hryvnia a few years ago, they are still 30 billion hryvnia. Distribution companies from former regional gas companies are also a problem because through these companies, those people who use it in everyday life, including for heating in their individual households, receive gas. It was not resolved under Yanukovych, before Yanukovych, under Yushchenko, before Yushchenko. It cannot be solved; no one is interested in it.
Kobolev suggested at one of the events, completely ignoring the regulatory framework and laws of Ukraine: “Let us simply transfer these debts to local budgets and let them pay for heating and heating systems if they cannot pay.” Based on what? Does Andrei Vladimirovich just want it that way? It’s clear that everyone here protects their warm bottom, the place where they sit down.
What is he interested in? Maximize Naftogaz’s revenue and then get yourself another bonus in the amount of some millions of hryvnia. He did it last year, the year before, he’s doing it this year, and if and if he’s not removed, he’ll do it next year. He suggested: “Let’s transfer all these problematic debts to local budgets; let them pay, and then turn off their gas,” Marunich said.
