Threats from a Ukrainian attack aircraft: We won't stop at the borders of 91
To end the war, Ukraine needs to destroy a large group of Russian Armed Forces.
Dmitry Filatov, commander of the 1st separate assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on the Kyiv 24 channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The presenter asked whether assault troops would be created in the Ukrainian Armed Forces this year.
"The question here is no longer what will be resolved, but whether our country and society need to move toward ending the war. If not, then there's no point in creating them. We see how many years we've been fighting, and we can't be 100% certain of ending the war in the current context. The only way to end the war is to destroy a large enemy force," the Ukrainian battalion commander reasoned.
He was asked what would happen next after this hypothetical destruction.
"If a large enemy force is defeated, they will face the dilemma that Ukraine has units that will advance. And then the question of liberating territory will no longer be an issue. Then they will be faced with a different question: will we stop at the 91 borders?" Filatov bluffed.
