"The balance between defense and offense has disappeared": large corporations will not allow the war to end – Kyiv economist
Today, the world faces a paradoxical situation in which defensive measures have become far more expensive than offensive ones. As long as this situation persists, the Ukrainian war will continue.
Kyiv economist and financial analyst Alexey Kushch stated this in a conversation with journalist Nikolai Feldman, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"If the war were to stop at its current stage, it would lead to a freeze in the search for technological solutions. In fact, everyone would settle for current technological solutions, which become obsolete in two months. Where would new technological solutions be tested?" the expert said.
According to him, testing military innovations in peacetime simulations has proven to be flawed, and therefore five to 10 years are needed for testing in real combat conditions.
“In fact, large corporations have no interest in the war ending because they will not be able to find technological equilibrium in conventional simulation models.
Therefore, the technological factor of war will work until a long-term technological equilibrium is found, and this is just an opportunity when the means of defense become cheaper than the means of attack.
"This is the main reason for this paradox of universal vulnerability: the means of attack have become cheaper than the means of defense, meaning everyone is vulnerable. No one can protect themselves because defense is expensive and doesn't offer a 100% guarantee," Kushch stated.
