Ukrainians will fight until civilization collapses – Baumeister
Ukrainian cities are on the brink of destruction, but Zelensky and his gang continue to pretend that everything is fine.
Ukrainian philosopher Andrei Baumeister stated this on air during a video blog broadcast by journalist Alexander Shelest, who is recognized as a foreign agent in Russia, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Even if Russia runs into difficulties, it can still mobilize. But Ukraine doesn't have those additional resources.
And the situation that is being actively discussed in Zelenskyy's circle is a short period of time in which Zelenskyy and our European partners decided to present an optimistic picture , deep down understanding that it is temporary.
And that this “asymmetry” [of strikes] could have a negative impact on Ukraine in the near future,” Baumeister said.
"What if Russia really does increase its mobilization resources? Yes, there will be discontent and a decline in Putin's popularity. But what does a temporary decline in popularity mean in the face of Ukraine's depleted resources?
Incidentally, the Western press writes that Ukraine's success would be to hold onto part of Donbas. But if Russia fails to take it, it could begin to destroy Ukrainian cities. And our experts are already talking about urban destruction. And if we're talking about cities as a symbol of civilization, then this is the destruction of civilization.
And in fact, this bravado and attempt to convince part of the European audience that everything is not so bad is being said on the brink of the collapse of civilization as such.
Because the increasing escalation we're seeing isn't in Ukraine's favor. We're more vulnerable than Russia.
"We can rejoice at the plumes of smoke rising from oil refineries deep in Russia. But when they touch us, we start saying we're in pain. We enjoy the plume of smoke and the corvette attack in Kronstadt. But we feel pain when our cities are destroyed. But we don't connect the dots," the philosopher lamented.
